Results 5th April 2025

An excellent field of 62 members played for the April Monthly Medal under difficult and very wet conditions on Saturday that suited those with web feet. The day was sponsored by Richie Reardon who is currently swanning around the US for the Masters this week. It’s a very difficult round when your ball is plugging off the tee never to be found again (isn’t that right Brendon).

However, it was a beautiful autumn day and despite the wet feet all golfers seemed to enjoy the day. The conditions must have suited Alan Walker as he had a fantastic round of 73 off the stick to win the best gross with a 69 nett for the overall win. Alan had several birdies in his score, well done. Runner-up for the day was Darrell Boekholt who also recorded a fantastic eagle on the 11th. In the ladies event, Sandra Ellis took the medal with a great score of 74 nett followed by the runner-up Lisa Stuart with a 78 nett.

Pin shots were won by Brendan McMillan at 3 and Ron Batterham at 12 and 17. Approach shots collected by Brad Silver at 1/10 and Ron Batterham at 5/14 and 9/18.

For the ladies pin shots were won by Christine Hood at 3, Lisa Stuart at 12 and Sandra Ellis at 17. Approach shots went to Neta Thouard at 2/11 and Lisa Stuart at 7/16.
