On a blustery but fine Saturday the Stanthorpe men played a Single Stableford sponsored by Michael Lane. Thanks to Michael for his continuing sponsorship of this day.
The course is in great condition considering the dry weather and this was reflected in the scores.
Congratulations to our winner AJ Grasso who played very well in the windy conditions to record 39 points. Also, congratulations to our runner-up (on a countback with 5 others) on 38 points was Gary Kirby. Well, done to Barry Hughes, Ron Batterham, Bruce Green, Santo Cavallaro and Rino Piovesan who also scored 38 points. Pin shots went to Santo Cavallaro on 3, Eric Ree on 12 and Laurens Hamman on 17. Approach shots were won by Hayden Smith on 1/10, Ian Henderson on 5/14 and Rick Goodrich on 9/18.
In the Ladies Competition, Mei Bell was the winner of the day with Helen Jones Runner up on a count back. Pin shots were on the 12th & 17th was Lynette Ludlow, Ladies Approach for 7/16 was Lorraine Evans and 2/11 was Lynette Ludlow.
